Booking and acceptance

DB Elite Auto provides vehicle rentals subject to the confirmed reservation and rental agreement. This website showcases the fleet; selecting a vehicle or sending an inquiry does not reserve it. Dates, availability, final charges, coverage selections and booking completion are handled through Wheelbase. Review these Terms, the booking disclosures and the full Rental Agreement before agreeing or paying. Wheelbase is the booking platform and is not represented here as the insurer or vehicle owner.

Your rental contract

The confirmed reservation, accepted itemized quote, disclosed cancellation policy, approved drivers, applicable coverage documents and any accepted vehicle-specific addendum form your Reservation Record. Keep a copy of the documents accepted for your trip. Mandatory law and nonwaivable rights control; coverage documents govern their protections and limits, accepted vehicle addenda govern specific vehicle issues, and the Reservation Record supplies trip-specific prices, dates, locations and selections. The full Rental Agreement supplies the general rental terms. This page summarizes those terms and does not expand your obligations beyond the applicable rental contract or remove valid protections. Later website changes do not change an existing rental.

Driver eligibility and release

Regular daily-rental drivers must be at least 21, hold a valid United States driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle, and complete verification for each trip. For the separate weekly rideshare and delivery program, applicants ages 18+ may qualify depending on the platform, driving location and insurance requirements. Any under-21 weekly rental requires express approval and age eligibility confirmed in the signed weekly rental agreement or addendum before pickup. Stricter vehicle or coverage requirements may apply. Only approved drivers may operate the vehicle. Required verification, payment, coverage and agreement acceptance must be completed before release. Provide accurate information and promptly disclose changes affecting eligibility.

Payment and security deposits

The full rental amount is due when booking. The accepted quote identifies the rental rate, taxes, delivery charges, coverage charges, mileage terms and any security deposit. Deposit amounts, collection or hold timing, and release terms are those disclosed for the reservation. A deposit is not insurance or a limit on amounts lawfully owed. Unused funds are released according to the disclosed terms and applicable law. Post-trip charges must be itemized and supported; any card-on-file charge must comply with the payment authorization, payment-network rules and law.

Coverage and insurance denial

Before vehicle release, renters must have either an eligible rental protection or insurance option arranged through the booking process or their own applicable coverage accepted by DB Elite Auto. Personal coverage must apply to the actual vehicle, approved drivers, rental period, geographic area and intended use, including physical damage and legally required liability protection. Providing or reviewing an insurance card does not guarantee coverage. Eligibility, exclusions, deductibles and limits come from the actual coverage documents.

Responsibility if your insurer does not pay

If you rely on personal insurance or other personal coverage, an insurer’s denial, exclusion, lapse, cancellation, deductible, insufficient limit, insolvency, delay or failure to pay does not, by itself, cancel your duty to pay amounts lawfully owed under the Rental Agreement. You remain personally responsible to DB Elite Auto for the unpaid portion of those obligations, subject to applicable law and any valid waiver or protection limiting your responsibility. All payments and applicable recoveries are credited; there is no double recovery. A denial alone does not establish that a charge is valid or determine its amount.

Damage theft and accidents

The Rental Agreement explains responsibility for new loss, theft, physical damage and related legally recoverable costs during your custody. Charges must be reasonable, documented and attributable to the rental. You are not responsible under these terms for pre-existing damage, ordinary wear, mechanical failure not caused or worsened by misuse, or loss caused by DB Elite Auto’s negligence or wrongful conduct. For emergencies, call 911 first. Promptly report accidents, theft, damage and mechanical problems, cooperate with claims procedures, and do not continue driving an unsafe vehicle. Applicable coverage and legal limits remain controlling.

Mileage fuel and condition

Included mileage and any excess-mileage rate are disclosed in the Reservation Record. Mileage is pooled across the rental period unless the accepted booking states otherwise. No undisclosed excess-mileage rate is created by these Terms. Return the vehicle with the same fuel level documented at pickup, remove belongings and trash, and return all keys and supplied equipment. Photograph condition, mileage and fuel at pickup and return. Excessive cleaning, smoke remediation, missing equipment and misuse-related repairs may result in reasonable, documented charges where legally recoverable; ordinary wear and normal cleaning are excluded.

Pickup delivery return and extensions

Pickup and return may be in person or contactless, as confirmed for your reservation. Follow the supplied instructions and return the vehicle to the confirmed location. Airport delivery to Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) or Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) is $125 once per rental when selected, unless another charge is expressly agreed before booking. For airport delivery, returning to the vehicle’s original base location requires confirmation in the reservation. Additional airport or parking charges apply only if disclosed and accepted. Extensions and location changes require advance written approval. A return at least 30 minutes late may incur an additional rental day under the Rental Agreement, with another day for each further 24 hours; this does not authorize an extension or extend coverage.

E-ZPass tolls and tickets after your trip

Each vehicle includes an E-ZPass transponder. Tolls are not included in the rental price. You agree to reimburse DB Elite Auto for actual E-ZPass and toll-by-plate charges billed to us for your rental, and for parking tickets, traffic or camera citations, fines and lawful related penalties attributable to your or your permitted drivers’ use. This obligation continues after vehicle return, final payment and deposit release, including notices received later by mail or electronically. We will provide an itemized invoice and available toll records or notices; payment is due by its reasonable stated deadline. Card charges remain subject to your payment authorization and applicable rules. No duplicate payment, charge caused by our error, or undisclosed processing fee is owed. Your applicable rights to contest citations and errors remain preserved.

Permitted use and care

No smoking or vaping, impaired driving, racing, track use, drifting, burnouts, launch-control starts, unlawful use, unauthorized towing, off-road driving, subrenting or tampering with vehicle equipment. Rideshare, delivery, courier and other commercial use require express written approval for the specific vehicle and trip, together with applicable platform eligibility and coverage. A website listing or application does not authorize that use. Use the correct fuel and follow vehicle instructions, including clearance and roof-operation precautions.

Long-term rideshare and delivery rentals

These are prospective program and application requirements. Approved long-term rentals require a separately signed rideshare addendum and a written offer identifying the vehicle, approved drivers and platforms, permitted territory, rental term, return deadline and location, weekly payment schedule, deposit terms, mileage allowance and overage rate. The application does not reserve a vehicle, authorize work, charge a card, pull a credit report or execute that rental contract. Existing signed rentals are not changed by this page.

Continuous renter-provided insurance

You must obtain and maintain your own insurance accepted by DB Elite Auto for the actual vehicle, each approved driver, the entire period of possession and all approved rental, personal, rideshare or delivery use. This includes required liability coverage and appropriate collision and comprehensive coverage for the vehicle. Policy limits, deductibles, endorsements and any required owner / loss-payee designations must be confirmed in writing before release. A personal insurance card, platform account or our review alone does not establish coverage. Daily-rental protection is not automatically valid for gig use. Extensions require continued verified coverage.

Provide policy evidence and insurer or agent contact details through the designated secure process before pickup, updated evidence before expiration and reasonable verification during the rental. Immediately report cancellation, nonrenewal, lapse or material changes. Do not operate the vehicle without the required coverage. Contact us immediately for safe storage and lawful return or recovery instructions; do not drive uninsured to return it. No provision relieves DB Elite Auto of its own insurance or legal duties.

Income identity and payment verification

Before approval, provide government-issued photo ID, a valid driver’s license and current, verifiable income records. Your identity, income evidence, platform eligibility and payment details must be consistent and accurate. Further driving-record or consumer-report screening uses a separate process with required disclosures and authorization. Keep a valid payment card in your name on file through the designated payment provider. Recurring payments and other charges require a separate authorization stating amounts or calculation methods, timing and applicable notice and dispute rights. A card on file or deposit does not guarantee payment, replace insurance or limit lawful responsibility.

Vehicle custody and return

Only specifically approved drivers may drive, and only specifically approved platforms and uses are permitted. Do not lend, subrent, sell, pledge, conceal or transfer the vehicle; remove plates or equipment; or disable authorized tracking or safety equipment. Keep your contact and approved vehicle-storage information current. Cooperate with agreed maintenance and condition checks and document mileage, fuel and condition. Any vehicle-location monitoring must be disclosed separately, including its purpose and data handling; this page does not represent that tracking is installed.

Return the vehicle and keys by the written deadline at the agreed location. An extension requires prior written approval and verified insurance; continued possession or an attempted payment does not authorize an extension. Nonpayment, loss of required coverage, material misrepresentation, unauthorized use or failure to return may result in termination and lawful recovery, subject to required notices and applicable law. Report accidents, theft, impoundment or missing keys promptly and cooperate with reasonable investigation and insurance requests. Criminal determinations belong to law enforcement and courts; an overdue payment is not automatically theft.

Unpaid loss and later charges

If your insurer denies a claim or coverage is cancelled, insufficient or otherwise unavailable, you remain responsible for amounts lawfully owed under the signed rental contract, including legally recoverable damage or theft loss, subject to valid protections and applicable law. A denial alone does not prove liability or the amount owed. All insurance proceeds and other recoveries are credited without double recovery. Pre-existing damage, ordinary wear and losses caused by DB Elite Auto’s negligence or wrongful conduct are not shifted to you by this section.

Actual E-ZPass tolls, tickets and other lawful charges attributable to your rental may arrive after return. We provide itemized supporting records and apply only accepted, legally permitted charges and payment authorizations. Any recovery, towing, storage or collection costs must be reasonable, documented and legally recoverable. Your applicable rights to contest an error, charge or citation remain preserved.

Cancellations refunds and changes

The cancellation, no-show, early-return and refund policy displayed and accepted for your specific Wheelbase reservation governs. Review it before paying; do not assume that a booking is refundable. A change request is not effective until approved in writing. These Terms do not create a separate cancellation schedule or duplicate fee. Mandatory refund rights remain preserved. If DB Elite Auto cannot supply the vehicle and you decline an offered substitute, unprovided services are refunded as required by the applicable terms and law.

Electronic records privacy and applicable law

Your electronic acceptance and signature are associated with the reservation and the version of the documents presented for that rental. You may download or request copies. Personal information is handled under our Privacy Policy and applicable law; third-party platforms also have their own terms and privacy notices. Virginia law governs the Rental Agreement except where mandatory law of another jurisdiction or federal law controls. Nothing here waives nonwaivable consumer rights or excuses DB Elite Auto’s own negligence, fraud or willful misconduct. Questions or billing disputes can be sent to inquires@dbeliteauto.com.
